Succop Nature Park

An Accessible Birding Location in Butler County

Location: Succop Nature Park is located at 185 W Airport Road, Butler, PA 16002. There is ample parking at this location and there are charging stations available for electric vehicles.  The trail system is mostly flat and terrain is tightly packed gravel, dirt, or grass. Some sections of trail have exposed roots. There are benches throughout the park.  The park is located near the Butler Airport and oftentimes small aircraft fly low overhead which can be loud. 


Facilities:  There are restrooms available inside when the nature store is open. 

 It's run by Audubon Society of Western PA. See their open hours here:   Succop Nature Park - Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania 


Likely Birds: Succop Nature Park has two ponds which often have mallards and Great Blue Herons. Other interesting birds that have been spotted at the park include Sharp-shinned Hawk, Gray Blue Gnatcatcher, and Yellow-rumped Warbler.
